Not so long ago, if you wanted to buy something, you went down to the store, carefully picked out what you wanted, paid for it with cash at the register and took it home. While those traditional means of shopping exist, they are becoming relatively outdated, replaced with new forms of technology that dramatically change the way in which consumers shop. Credit cards, the Internet, online shopping and smartphones are all aspects of modern technology that are having an impact on our shopping preferences.
